Amanda Stover is a Registered Yoga (E200) and Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor. She came to yoga through her extensive dance career including a BFA and MA in classical dance. As a dance student, performer and teacher, she welcomed the noncompetitive nature of yoga and embraced the healthful benefits that a regular yoga practice provides regardless of age, size or ability.
After only a few yoga classes, Amanda discovered immediate physical improvements in her dancing, including better balance, increased stamina, flexibility and heightened breath awareness. It was during her Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification in 2001 that Amanda fully opened herself to the true meaning of yoga, the union of body with mind and spirit. This discovery continues to be a transformative journey for her as she pursues her yoga practice on and off the mat.
She is passionate about teaching and encouraging her students to explore and show compassion for themselves through flowing asanas (poses), pranayama (breath work), meditation and deep relaxation. Amanda invites her students to breathe in the therapeutic experience of yoga, get centered, and enjoy!
